Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust

The Slices project is a national initiative aimed at reducing aggression and violence towards frontline NHS staff. I was brought in to support the roll out of this important project at my local NHS Foundation Trust, in the Emergency Department. I worked closely with the ED Management team to create a series of informative signs that were strategically positioned across the ED that helped to plot the journey of a patient through the department. I carried out a site survey, installation plan, concepts, artwork creation, designed layouts and set artwork, oversaw print production and installation.

Why I wanted to help with this brand

Nobody should have to go to work and fear for their own safety. Nobody should fear aggression or violence against them, when they are performing a role that is to care for others. I was drawn to this project as my design work could, would and has made a difference to the lives of the NHS staff who care for the people of Salisbury and surrounding areas.
